A Magical Night Under the Stars

One of my favourite memories of summers in Vancouver is Stanley Park's Theatre Under the Stars.  Growing up, my parents took us almost every year to Malkin Bowl in Stanley Park to watch a talented group of actors, dancers and musicians put on the most entertaining show. This year, we had the privilege of attending Mary Poppins and it blew me away! We put on a pair of our favourite sandals from UGG and the rest of the evening was magical.

First of all, Stanley Park itself is a gorgeous backdrop with rose gardens, massive trees, flower beds, trails and beautiful architecture all around you! For Wayne and I, it was the perfect place for a summer date night and we left the children at home to enjoy the evening together. 

I love this man and he is a "guys guy" through and through who loves to hunt, build things, fish, play sports etc., but he always appreciates good talent and I was thrilled when he wanted to join me for an evening out at the arts. 

Because it was a warm summer night and UGG just has the most comfortable footwear, we were styling and comfy for the evening show. We definitely love that we can wear UGG shoes year round and we know that our feet are supported wherever we are walking. We also love that there really is something for everyone at UGG, from little kids to adult, they have the best shoes that are comfy enough to wear all day.

We chose a perfect night as it was quite hot during the day and headed downtown to enjoy the show. Mary Poppins was one of my favourite movies growing up. I actually asked my mom if I could change my name to Mary Poppins. She gladly obliged and told me when I turned 18, if I still wanted to change my name, I could. Such a wise momma!

I am so grateful I grew up with parents that allowed us to create memories and enjoy traditions. Watching the new show in Stanley Park every summer was one of my favourite traditions and I remember seeing so many different shows like Annie, Titanic, Singing in the Rain (amazing!), How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Annie Get your Gun and so many more. 

Lauren's top is from Pink Blush and we love the feminine detail with the added lace at the bottom and the material is incredibly comfortable - perfect for a night out where comfort is an added bonus! 

This evening was incredible! The show, Mary Poppins, was amazing and the details and creativity that went into the show was impressive! Some of my favourite scenes are with Bert and the penguins and the Carousel. The ensemble created this beautiful picture on stage of the carousel and even had buckets representing the horses' heads. It was incredibly creative and beautiful to watch! 

I was thoroughly entertained the entire show and to be honest, I couldn't believe it was almost 11pm when the show finished. Thank you Vancouver for honouring the arts in our city and putting in hours of work to create the most entertaining evening. We will for sure be back next year!
