Summer Toys: Indoor and Outdoor
/For obvious reasons (aka COVID), we have been enjoying a lot of time in our backyard this summer and exploring our local area. We wanted to share a few of our favourite summer toys our families have been loving this season!
EggMazing - If you have a dinosaur lover in your home this activity is loads of fun. The children can first decorate their dinosaur eggs using the eggmazing spinner. They can add a lot of colours and make unique designs (this would be perfect to use during Easter too obviously). Then, after their eggs are decorated, you can crack the eggs open to reveal a non sticky slime and a dinosaur puzzle you get to put together. My dinosaur lover was obsessed with this activity!
Chalk of the Town - These DIY t-shirts are perfect to use for a custom party, event, holiday or to express yourself. You can create a custom shirt using one of the provided chalk markers and stencils. However, the surprise of this shirt is that you can ERASE what you wrote and reuse the chalkboard portion over and over! There are few different colours and shapes of chalkboards - even a unicorn shape I know our girls would love!
Trolls Aquabeads - Our kiddos love making creations out of Aquabeads. There are small colourful jewel like beads that you place in a pattern on a tray. Once you have completed your pattern, you simply add water and then let your creation sit while the beads meld together. Once it dries, you can peel your creation off the tray and enjoy. There are so many different patterns to choose from including animals, princesses etc. but our kids favourite theme right now is Trolls! So far theyβve created their own Poppy, Queen Barb, Branch and Biggie!
Dena Toys - Our younger ones especially have enjoyed the rubber silicone stacking toys this summer. You can use the toys to create your own set up or play around and create a unique stackable tower so many different ways. The beautiful pastel tones are so soft and elegant for a childβs room as well.
Bunch-o-Ballons - If you havenβt heard of Bunch-o-Balloons, you need to check them out! We always pick up the multipack at Costco every summer that comes with every colour of the rainbow. Bunch-o-balloons are water balloons that save you so much time and energy. There is a bunch of 100 balloons and you add the nozzle to the end of your hose, turn the hose on full blast and watch the next 60 seconds as the balloons fill up, seal themselves and drop into a bucket. It is incredible and our kids love having water fights with the neighbours on the street.
