Raincoast Home Activities

Hello whole world flipped upside down!
What a crazy time we are living in and for every family, huge adjustments have had to be made. Life as we know it as done a 180 and nothing quite feels “normal” anymore. Everything is shut down and we find ourselves at home. A lot. Actually, all day.
So…if you are looking for a few new activities for your kids (because who isn’t?!) we have a list from Raincoast Books that are sure to be helpful. My favourite is the map of the world puzzle that my little 4 year old son and I will be doing soon!

Map of the World Geography Puzzle - This puzzle is incredible! There are so many different colourful graphics showing children, important animals, and artifacts from well known places all over the world.

Little Artist Puzzle - This puzzle is perfect for an inspiring artist. It features a variety of well known artists in a beautiful and bright puzzle.

Dinosaur Dominoes - A perfect activity for any dinosaur lover. There are brightly coloured fun dinosaurs on one side and the other side is a domino card with dinosaur footprints. Children can match numbers and create a long dinosaur domino train while practicing counting and number recognition. They also have a Unicorn edition as well for any unicorn lovers!

Two cute new book titles to add to your collection:

1) Rainboy - This is an adorable picture book about a rain cloud. No one wants to play with him because he always makes it rain. It is a beautiful story about accepting and including one another in a playful tone for children. The book would be a great addition to any home or classroom.

2) Tiny T. Rex and the Very Dark Dark - This was an immediate hit for Jake as he loves dinosaurs, but it is a cute story for any child. The story is about the fear of the dark but approaches it in a kid friendly and funny manner.
