Are your kiddos as excited as ours for Frozen 2 coming out today?! It seems like a wonderful way to start this holiday season. I remember as a child, loving when the Sears Wishbook catalogue would show up at our house. I would look through all of the pages, circle things I loved, and read it many times before Christmas day. My kiddos love when the holiday flyers come and I enjoy flipping through them as well and listening to some of their favourites items they are wishing for.

This item is high on Jake’s wish list and it is amazing. The Osmo is a learning game system that is compatible with iPads or the Amazon Fire Tablet. They offer many different games and activities for children that are engaging and educational.

The Osmo is easy for first time users and walks you through each part of the set up. It was quick and easy; you need to download an app, set up an account, and add the Osmo clip to the top of your tablet or iPad and you are ready to go. With Frozen 2 coming out, the Learn to Draw with Olaf was one of the first games we tried. It is adorable watching a snowman Kinsley drew, come to life and dance on the screen. Each page in the notebook has a different drawing activity where children can add a carrot to Olaf’s nose or be creative and add something from their imagination and then watch their drawings come to life!

We have been doing Preschool at home and the Little Genuis Kit (which is now compatible with the iPad and the Amazon Fire Tablet) has so many excellent hands on activities for little ones. Children can create a letter using the provided manipulatives and watch the letter form its shape on the screen and learn about words that begin with that letter. It is unique for children to be able to create with their hands and then watch something magical come from their creation. It is an engaging and educational activity for children. There are so many different games to choose from in the Osmo Family such as Detective Agency (kids can solve mysteries from around the world ) Hot Wheels MindRacers (amazing racing game for kids) and Pizza Co (helps children practice math skills).
