Reading before bedtime has always been an evening ritual in our home. After my kids climb into bed, I let them read quietly by themselves for a few minutes before I come back in and do devotions. I find that this settles their minds and hearts from our busy day and always gives me a few minutes to finish tidying up before our evening ends. One of our favourite Christian publishers for children’s books is Zondervkidz. They always have new titles they are releasing that you can buy online on Amazon or even at your local bookstore like Indigo. We wanted to share a few new titles that you may want to add to your collection. There are a couple devotional books, some activity books and some adorable picture books - all with a message that speaks to the heart.

The Tiny Truths Illustrated Bible - My friend’s husband first shared this book with us and we loved the illustrations and simple messages based on Biblical truth. The Tiny Truths Bible is divided into two sections: Old Testament and New Testament, featuring prominent stories from the Bible in both. The stories are shared in a way that capture the heart and essence of the Biblical truth while delivering it in a way that captivates children’s hearts. The Tiny Truths Bible has become part of our daily routine at night before bedtime.

The Beginner’s Bible Activity Books : One of our favourite new items is the series of the new sticker activity books based on The Beginner’s Bible. There are a few different themes such as All About Jesus, Super Heroes of the Bible, Super Girls of the Bible and Wild About Creation. Each activity book is filled with brightly coloured activity pages, stickers and easy to follow instructions while learning about different characters and stories from the Bible. They are amazing!

Berenstain Bears Mother’s Day Blessings: This series reminds us of our own childhood as we read so many of them growing up. We love that this series is created by a family as well and the story we read - Mother’s Day Blessings - was so heartwarming, a great gift idea for a mom in your life!

Baby Wren and the Great Gift: This book is written by Sally Lloyd-Jones, who was one of the writers of the Jesus Storybook Bible and it is a wonderful story celebrating all of our unique gifts and talents. The illustrations in this book captivated me as an adult as well and there is so much beauty and truth in the story.

Go Wild! Bible Stories for Little Ones: This is a perfect gift for a birthday or special celebration for any baby, toddler or preschooler. The simple, yet beauitifull illustrated stories are the perfect length to captivate a young child’s attention. Kinlsey loves reading to herself, her stuffed animals or her cousin Ezri, and this pocket book size is perfect for her little hands.
