Kid Creations: Djeco
We are sharing one of our favourite companies - DJECO - with you today because they have made some of the best kids products we have tried to date. We have already tried a variety of games, art activities, puzzles, stickers and creative pieces made by Djeco and we want to share with you all because these are items we use weekly in our home.
We love spending time outdoors especially in the Summer but a quiet activity or game at the table is the perfect wind down activity after a busy day. Djeco knocked it out of the park with these products and you can find so many of them at Dilly Dally Kids if you are local here in Vancouver.
DJECO’s wooden bead kits are one of our favourite sets. The colours and themes are all adorable and the wooden beads are big enough for tiny fingers to thread. Our girls love the Butterfly and Animals sets. We often use our bead sets to make bracelets, necklaces, but also for sorting and and as accessories in little set ups or doll houses. The Djeco Beads and Figurines Kit has little figures for you to create your own characters in your jewelry.
Their clear printed umbrellas are the perfect balance of colour and pattern. They are bell shaped to keep those rainy days right off of Ezri’s head and frankly, she wanted to use this umbrella even when it wasn’t raining of course.
These two little girls always want to get in on the action when their big sisters are creating. Stickers are used almost daily in both of our homes as our children love to use them to create scenes, make cards for people or to embellish their artwork. Peeling stickers off a page and sticking them onto a new one is an excellent activity to strengthen a toddler’s fine motor skills as well. Djeco has created many different themed sets of stickers such as Let’s Go, 1000 Sweet Stickers, Knights, Horses (Kinsley’s’ favourite), Pirates etc. Each set is vibrant and inviting for children. However if you have young toddlers, then the Baby Animals Big Stickers are perfect for you! The larger size stickers are accessible for young fingers to peel off, helping toddlers find success, just like their big brother or sister!
Games are an excellent way to encourage social skills. Winning, losing, waiting your turn, learning rules, etc. are all awesome ways for children to develop their social skills and often occur when you play a board game. Cooperation (working together focus) and Action Challenge Game (drama/movement based) both come with adorable wooden creatures which invite the children to play. The rules are simple but focus on developing tasks that are important for early learning.
Djeco also has these paint with water kits that can be used on card rides because there is no mess and the colours magically appear when you colour with the water pen. I also use these when my kids are really young (12+ months) in a highchair when they want to be involved in our table activities but don’t quite know how to keep a marker on a piece of paper - enter these paint with water kits. Such a great idea and allows for more colouring/creative time for young kids.
We hope something here that Djeco has made can resonate with your kids and you can stock up on a few activities for cabin adventures this summer, road trips, or even for a day spent around your kitchen table.
